The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area jointly built a platform to explore overseas business opportunities. The 2026 Zhuhai Premium Products Economic and Trade Matching Fair together with “Guangdong Goods Going Global” (ASEAN and Latin America Session) was successfully held in Guangzhou on 17 October. As a supporting organisation, the Greater Bay Area Importers and Exporters Association has supported this series of economic and trade events for three consecutive sessions. Working closely with the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, Zhuhai Chamber of Import and Export, and other chambers of commerce, the Association pooled domestic and foreign commercial resources, connected overseas buyers with high-quality Zhuhai enterprises, and helped “Zhuhai Smart Manufacturing” sail to global markets.

Hosted by the Zhuhai Municipal Bureau of Commerce and undertaken by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products and Zhuhai Chamber of Import and Export, the event brought overseas buyers from Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Morocco, Indonesia, Vietnam and other countries and regions, alongside representatives of Zhuhai enterprises, to jointly explore international business opportunities. Fully unlocking the spillover effects of the 140th Canton Fair, the event assisted Zhuhai foreign trade enterprises in tapping emerging markets in ASEAN and Latin America.

Going Deep into Industrial Frontlines to Experience the Strength of “Zhuhai Smart Manufacturing”
On the morning of the event day, the delegation of overseas buyers visited booths of enterprises from the Zhuhai Group at the Canton Fair Complex to witness the solid strength of “Zhuhai Smart Manufacturing” up close. In the smart home appliances and new energy sector, buyers held in-depth exchanges with exhibitors including Zhuhai Gree Electric Appliances, Inc., Zhuhai Jinpin Innovation Sharing Platform Technology Co., Ltd., and Zhuhai Kelitong Electric Co., Ltd. In the electronic information and high-end printing industry segment, companies such as Pantum Technology Co., Ltd., Zhuhai Maike Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. and Zhuhai Xinyan Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. presented cutting-edge products and integrated solutions to overseas buyers. Participants carried out targeted discussions covering product adaptation, channel expansion and brand agency, amid lively on-site negotiations.

Exploring Business Opportunities at Pearl River Night Talk, Fruitful Outcomes from Supplier-Buyer Matching

That evening, the 3rd “Pearl River Night Talk” supplier-buyer matching activity was held on a cruise ship along the Pearl River. Zhang Tingyou, Deputy Director of the Zhuhai Municipal Bureau of Commerce, stated in his address that ASEAN and Latin America are key emerging markets for Zhuhai. In 2025, Zhuhai’s total import and export volume with ASEAN reached RMB 48.918 billion, while that with Latin America hit RMB 17.749 billion, showing steady growth in trade volume. With the launch of the direct sea route between Zhuhai and Brazil, voyage time has been shortened by approximately 30 days compared with traditional routes, and overall logistics costs have fallen by more than 30%, tightening two-way trade and investment ties.

Guo Kuilong, Secretary-General of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, remarked that as a pivotal city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Zhuhai boasts a solid industrial foundation and prominent opening-up advantages. Internationally competitive industrial clusters have taken shape in smart home appliances, printing consumables, advanced equipment and new energy sectors. He expected overseas buyers to capitalise on Zhuhai’s industrial strengths and find reliable Chinese supply chain partners.

Jesse Guimarães, Vice President of the China-Brazil Chamber of Commerce and representative of overseas chambers, delivered a special presentation on market opportunities in Brazil. He introduced that China-Brazil trade volume reached USD 143.3 billion in the first three quarters of 2026; China accounts for 26.4% of Brazil’s total imports. Demand for kitchen small home appliances, refrigeration and laundry equipment, air conditioning units and other products remains strong, meaning huge potential for Zhuhai enterprises to explore the Brazilian market.
Statistics show that the three sessions of “Pearl River Night Talk” supplier-buyer matching events have attracted more than 200 high-quality domestic and overseas buyers, generating procurement intentions exceeding RMB 200 million. It has become a signature event for Zhuhai to leverage the Canton Fair platform and help enterprises explore diversified overseas markets. During the enterprise presentation session, Zhuhai Jinpin Innovation Sharing Platform Technology showcased its core products and cooperation opportunities, drawing strong attention from overseas buyers.

Negotiations proceeded enthusiastically on site, with multiple cooperation intentions successfully concluded. Constanza Belen Morales Aguila, representative of Chile’s ASCARCON LTDA, commented that Zhuhai features a complete industrial chain for printing equipment and consumables with highly competitive products. She plans to visit factories in Zhuhai for field inspection. M Zainul Wafa, representative of Indonesia’s Ungu Store, expressed keen interest in Zhuhai’s new energy energy storage and smart home appliances, seeing promising cooperation prospects for consumer electronics and green energy between both sides.

Built upon the Canton Fair platform, this event shortened the distance between supply and demand and smoothed channels for international cooperation through the innovative “Pearl River Night Talk” format. It demonstrated Zhuhai’s open and inclusive city image and injected new momentum for Zhuhai’s foreign trade to stabilise volume and optimise structure. Moving forward, the Greater Bay Area Importers and Exporters Association will continue to deepen exchanges and collaboration with chambers of commerce across regions and overseas business organisations. It will keep building cross-border economic and trade matching platforms to help enterprises secure orders, expand markets and foster cooperation, jointly delivering the vision of “Guangdong Goods Travelling Worldwide, Zhuhai Products Sold Globally”.
