On July 8, Ying Wei, Executive President of the GREATER BAY AREA IMPORTERS AND EXPORTERS ASSOCIATION, led representatives of member enterprises to attend the Hong Kong Promotion Conference for the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT). Gathered in Hong Kong with representatives from government departments, chambers of commerce, investment institutions and enterprises at home and abroad, the delegation learned about the preparation progress of this year’s CIFIT, conducted in-depth matching of investment and cooperation resources, and jointly explored new prospects for opening-up and collaboration.

As a major national international economic and trade event themed on boosting two-way investment, CIFIT serves as a vital open platform linking China with the rest of the world. The Hong Kong Promotion Conference systematically briefed attendees on the overall arrangements, featured events, industrial cooperation priorities and investment promotion policies of the 26th CIFIT. It built an efficient matching channel for Hong Kong and international enterprises to gain in-depth insights into and participate in CIFIT, while creating favorable conditions for enterprises in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) to seize national opening-up opportunities and expand global markets.
During the event, the Association delegation held extensive exchanges with event organizers, investment promotion agencies, industrial organisations and corporate representatives covering industrial investment, cross-border trade, supply chain collaboration and project matchmaking. Discussions centred on organising member enterprises to exhibit and attend the fair, project promotion and resource sharing, laying a solid foundation for deeper cooperation in the future.

As a key chamber platform supporting the globalisation of GBA enterprises, the GREATER BAY AREA IMPORTERS AND EXPORTERS ASSOCIATION adheres to its mission of Serving Enterprises, Linking Resources, Facilitating Cooperation and Sharing Development. It consistently acts as a critical bridge, proactively organising member firms to participate in state-level international economic and trade events including CIFIT and the China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair). These efforts continuously expand corporate cooperation channels and strengthen their international competitiveness.
The Association fully capitalises on its strengths in investment promotion, resource integration and project matchmaking. Through diverse services such as group exhibition participation, industrial exchanges, investment roadshows and business study tours, it helps enterprises precisely connect with high-quality domestic and overseas resources, realise information exchange and win-win collaboration, and inject fresh momentum into their high-quality development.
Against the new landscape of global economic and trade development, the GREATER BAY AREA IMPORTERS AND EXPORTERS ASSOCIATION keeps innovating its international service framework and building a distinctive “Joint Voyage to Global Markets” service system. By integrating premium resources spanning exhibitions, logistics, finance, legal services, brand promotion, overseas distribution channels and cross-border supply chains, the Association guides enterprises to shift from isolated expansion to collective global outreach. Adopting an alliance-based, platform-driven and cluster development model, it cuts down small and medium-sized enterprises’ costs of tapping international markets, boosts their overseas expansion efficiency, and fosters a new ecosystem featuring resource sharing, complementary strengths and coordinated growth.
Drawing on state-level open platforms including CIFIT, the Association will further foster closer partnerships between member enterprises and overseas chambers of commerce, international buyers and investment institutions, delivering stronger backing for companies engaging in global industrial and supply chain cooperation.
Advancing construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area unlocks vast potential for cross-boundary economic and trade collaboration. The GREATER BAY AREA IMPORTERS AND EXPORTERS ASSOCIATION will continue to function as an important platform connecting Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. It will actively advance industrial coordination, resource sharing, regulatory alignment and complementary advantages between Guangdong and Hong Kong, facilitate deep integration of Hong Kong’s strengths in international finance, trade and professional services with the mainland’s robust manufacturing, industrial and supply chain capacities, further streamline communication and cooperation channels for enterprises, and cultivate a more open and efficient GBA collaboration ecosystem.
Taking the 26th CIFIT as a key opportunity, the Association will continuously advance investment, trade and industrial promotion as well as international collaboration, refine its “Joint Voyage to Global Markets” service system, and encourage more member enterprises to engage with state-level platforms and enter global markets. Through opening-up and cooperation at a higher standard, it will drive high-quality corporate growth and contribute to the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and China’s high-standard opening-up to the outside world.
