On July 14, a delegation from Vietnam’s KN Holding Group visited Shenzhen. The GREATER BAY AREA IMPORTERS AND EXPORTERS ASSOCIATION, together with the Shenzhen Federation of Social Organizations and the Shenzhen Importers and Exporters Association, hosted the visit. The parties engaged in in-depth and cordial discussions on topics including China-Vietnam cross-border investment, industrial globalization, supply chain collaboration, and digital trade development, culminating in the formal signing of a strategic cooperation agreement.

Dialogue Builds Consensus, Synergy Drives Deeper Collaboration

Following a tour of the exhibition hall and a viewing of the Association’s promotional video, both sides held extensive talks.

Mr. Zhao Huazhong, Executive President of the Association, extended a warm welcome to the delegation and shared insights into the industrial strengths of the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and the prospects for Guangdong-Vietnam cooperation. He noted that the GBA and Vietnam enjoy close geographical proximity, deeply integrated economies, and complementary business ecosystems, underpinned by a long history of close collaboration in traditional industries. He highlighted that traditional manufacturing sectors in cities such as Foshan and Zhongshan—particularly ceramics—align closely with Vietnam’s needs for industrial upgrading and market development, offering vast potential for practical cooperation. Meanwhile, as a national hub for new quality productive forces, the GBA has concentrated top-tier technologies, leading enterprises, and complete industrial chains in high-end intelligent manufacturing fields such as smart robotics, computing servers, and civilian drones. This positions the region to pursue diversified cooperation with Vietnam spanning product exchange, enterprise linkage, and joint industrial development. In artificial intelligence, the GBA hosts mature R&D firms and technical institutions with rich experience and outstanding capabilities in digital trade, cloud computing, and applied intelligent technologies. These strengths are well-suited to support Vietnam’s digital transformation, pointing to broad and promising horizons for cross-border digital economic cooperation. The Association looks forward to deepening strategic alignment with KN Holding Group, cementing mutual trust, and driving tangible outcomes across multiple domains.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Deputy General Manager of KN Holding Group, outlined the group’s local resource advantages, core government-enterprise networks, end-to-end implementation capabilities, and strategic vision against the backdrop of deepening Guangdong-Vietnam economic integration. He emphasized that KN Group has been rooted in the Vietnamese market for decades, building extensive local channels, a strong market reputation, and robust capabilities in resource coordination and business environment assurance. These strengths enable KN to provide comprehensive localized support for GBA enterprises investing, establishing operations, and expanding in Vietnam—effectively lowering cross-border barriers and addressing key pain points. The group aims to leverage the industrial cluster advantages of the GBA and the platform resources of the Shenzhen Financial Chamber of Commerce to advance all-round, multi-tiered, high-quality strategic cooperation across four core areas: joint industrial park development, cross-border financial connectivity, new energy industry deployment, and high-end sci-tech innovation collaboration.

During the exchange session, Ms. Mai Hoang Uyen, Sales Director of KN Holding Group, presented the group’s promotional video and detailed the planning, location advantages, supporting facilities, and industry access criteria of its two flagship industrial parks—KNIC Nam Long Thanh and Dong Long Thanh (Xuan Quy Yen Ha). Both sides deepened mutual understanding and consolidated consensus through further dialogue.

Mr. Lin Wensheng, Co-President of the Association, observed that the industrial complementarity between the GBA and Vietnam is striking, with a growing number of GBA enterprises accelerating their ASEAN expansion and capacity deployment in Vietnam. He noted that this in-depth exchange has built a vital bridge for bilateral industrial connectivity, and called for regular activities such as economic matchmaking, policy briefings, and industrial park inspections to deepen Guangdong-Vietnam industrial synergy and jointly capture ASEAN growth opportunities.

Signing Marks Deepened Cooperation, Jointly Embarking on a New Journey

Following the discussions, a formal signing ceremony was held. Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh and Mr. Zhao Huazhong signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of their respective organizations, witnessed by representatives from the Shenzhen Federation of Social Organizations, the Shenzhen Importers and Exporters Association, and several enterprises.

Under the agreement, both parties will focus on three core dimensions: mutual empowerment, supply-demand matching, and operational efficiency. Leveraging KN Group’s premium industrial park platforms in Vietnam, they will facilitate the targeted relocation and deployment of high-quality manufacturing and sci-tech innovation resources from the GBA. Drawing on the Association’s platform strengths, they will conduct regular government-enterprise dialogues, corporate roadshows, and commercial linkages to build streamlined pathways for GBA enterprises entering the Vietnamese market. The partnership will also deepen collaboration in cross-border supply chain coordination, joint industrial development, and resource sharing—helping GBA enterprises integrate comprehensively into Vietnam’s local industrial ecosystem, navigate the full cycle of cross-border investment, operations, and market expansion, and realize industrial complementarity, strength-sharing, and business-model integration.

At the ceremony, both sides exchanged commemorative gifts—expressions of friendship and goodwill that further strengthened bilateral ties and added warmth and momentum to ongoing exchanges and deeper collaboration.

As a core platform for the GBA’s opening-up and cross-border economic engagement, the GREATER BAY AREA IMPORTERS AND EXPORTERS ASSOCIATION serves both as a vital bridge facilitating the global expansion of high-quality domestic enterprises and competitive GBA industries, and as a key gateway enabling overseas enterprises to connect with the GBA’s industrial ecosystem. This strategic partnership with Vietnam’s KN Holding Group aligns precisely with the prevailing trend of industrial complementarity and economic integration between Guangdong and Vietnam, establishing an efficient and pragmatic new channel for cross-border deployment and deep industrial chain integration. Moving forward, both parties will continue to enhance resource coordination, joint industrial development, and supply-demand connectivity—fully leveraging the Association’s platform aggregation strengths and KN Group’s deep local roots. Through regular economic matchmaking, project implementation, and supply chain collaboration, they aim to broaden cooperation horizons, elevate quality and impact, unlock new drivers of Guangdong-Vietnam cross-border economic vitality, and jointly write a new chapter of win-win local industrial collaboration between China and Vietnam.
