Grasp the Inevitable Logic of the Historical Choice and Live Up to the Original Aspiration with Greater Bay Area Commitment

In his important speech at the ceremony marking the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Xi Jinping profoundly pointed out that the fundamental reason why the CPC has continuously achieved brilliant accomplishments through 105 years of hard work, and why history and the people have chosen the CPC, lies in the Party’s incomparable fine qualities that no other political party or force possesses. This important judgment thoroughly reveals the fundamental secret behind “Why the CPC Works”, and provides fundamental guidance for forging ahead on the new journey in the new era.

As a member of the National CPPCC and a patriotic Hong Kong business representative rooted in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, I have delved deep into the speech and been greatly inspired, which further strengthened my conviction and commitment to follow the Party’s guidance and stay aligned with the Party.

A century of trials and hardships, a century of unwavering original aspiration. Over the past hundred years and more, armed with its distinctive traits — unswervingly pursuing truth, deeply rooting itself among the people, courageously shouldering historical missions, keeping pace with the times, daring and being adept at struggles, and bravely carrying out self-reform — the CPC has led China to achieve a historic leap from extreme poverty and weakness to prosperity and strength. Looking back at the turbulent and uncertain years of exploration in modern times, only the CPC has charted the course with scientific truth, consolidated its foundation with a people-centered stance, and borne the heavy responsibility of national rejuvenation. Through countless hardships and sustained endeavors, it has delivered an outstanding answer that stands the test of history, the people and the times.

Having worked and lived in Hong Kong, Macao and the Greater Bay Area for years, I have witnessed firsthand that under the firm leadership of the CPC, Hong Kong and Macao have enjoyed long-term stability and vitality, integrated development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has advanced in depth with surging dynamism, and the private economy has grown steadily while dedicating itself to national development. I truly recognize the irreplaceable advanced nature and leadership of the CPC.

The six defining distinctive traits of the CPC are not only the core key to sustaining the vitality of this century-old Party, but also the fundamental guideline for CPPCC members in the new era to perform their duties earnestly and deliver tangible results. Based on my own position, I will translate the study and implementation of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech into concrete performance and conscious action. I will always uphold the original aspiration of wholeheartedly aligning with the Party, leverage the CPPCC’s role as a bridge and bond, unite business circles and youth groups in Hong Kong and Macao to thoroughly study the Party’s innovative theories, vividly tell stories of the CPC’s history, national development and Greater Bay Area integration, continuously foster a sense of national identity among Hong Kong and Macao compatriots, and consolidate the united foundation of patriotism and love for Hong Kong. I will take the initiative to serve the overall national development agenda, stand at the forefront of opening-up in the Greater Bay Area, conduct in-depth research and put forward targeted proposals focusing on key areas including cross-border trade upgrading, digital economy growth and efficient flow of production factors across the three regions, to boost high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area and China’s high-standard opening-up. I will wholeheartedly empower young people, continuously build platforms for Hong Kong and Macao youth to communicate, start businesses, seek employment and grow on the mainland, guiding more young people from Hong Kong and Macao to integrate into national development and pursue their dreams and careers in the Greater Bay Area. I will stay committed to serving the country through industrial development, lead my enterprise in innovative growth, actively engage in public welfare, charity and livelihood development, repay society through solid work and fulfill entrepreneurs’ social responsibilities.

The vast journey ahead rides a favorable wind; we forge ahead with renewed resolve. On the new journey, I will thoroughly grasp the inevitable logic of history and the people choosing the CPC, keep in mind the mission of performing duties for the country and serving the people, base myself in the Greater Bay Area while bearing the nation’s overall interests in mind, continuously rally united forces from all sectors of Hong Kong and Macao, fully commit to my core CPPCC duties, courageously shoulder the mission of the times, integrate corporate development, personal endeavors and the prosperity of Hong Kong and Macao deeply into the great journey of national rejuvenation, and demonstrate the responsibility and mission of a CPPCC member in the new era through solid performance outcomes.
